Make Your Car Unique - How to Pinstripe a Car

In most cases the pinstripes that people have on their vehicles will come in two colours. The first colour is the one that is used to help set off the body colour of the vehicle. Whereas the second colour which is a contrast to the first and is a much thinner line ensures that the first line stands out. There are a couple of methods one can use when it comes to adding a pinstripe your car. Below we look at what these are.

Method 1 - To add a pinstripe to your vehicle you can use stencil tape. Of the two methods we mention in this article this is the one that makes pinstriping a vehicle the easiest. But just with the next method in order to create the pinstripe on your vehicle you will need a good pinstripe brush. The great thing about using this particular method is that you can apply as many different colour stripes on to your vehicle as you would like without having to wait for the others to dry.

Method 2 - The other method which is used by many professionals is freehand pinstriping. This is not only very difficult but before you start carrying out this form of pinstriping it is worth spending some time practicing. This will help to ensure that not only do you handle the brushes correctly but will ensure that you master the art of applying pinstripes to a vehicle fully. The great thing about this method of pinstriping is it allows the person free rein over the types of designs they create on their vehicle. However, applying some masking tape about a ¼ inch down from where the real pinstripe is going to be will help to provide you with a visual guide ensuring that you keep the lines straight as you do the work.
